Milton Keynes Junior National League: Teams selected by coaches - swum over three rounds. For younger swimmers 9 - 12 year olds (age on end of year). This is the most important junior league for the club and involved teas across the South East of England. There are three divisions, our A team e are in Division 1 and the B team is in Division 3.  Division 3 was only created in 2017 and some of the teams in it are stronger than those in division 1.

Arena Swimming National League: Teams selected by coaches - swum over three rounds (age on end of year) Ages: 9yrs - Open age group (9yrs old only can swim in relays, not allowed to swim individual evens). This is the most important gala for the club's life. All clubs get rated by the results of it. There are 3 divisions as Premier, Division 1 & Division 2 - We are in Division 1.

Open Meet: Can be an all day event or over a weekend, most events covered from 50m to 400m depending on kind of open meet. Entry Forms are given out at training sessions and must be returned by a certain date. Payment by swimmer to compete in Heats and Finals. Normally if you finish in the top three in an event you will recieve a medal/trophy. Coaches are able to advise you on what events to enter.

County/Regional Championships: You have to have achieved a qualifying time to compete in this event. The times must be achieved in licensed events such as some galas (only Arena would count), open meets and Club Championships. For regionals the time has to be achieved at level 3 or 2 or 1 meet (club champs wouldn't count). Ages end of year, Counties from age of 10/11 and Regionals from age of 12.

National Championships - British and English Nationals: Swimmers will have the opportunity to post a long course ranking time (from level 1 licensed meet) within a ‘qualification window’ which normally from first weekend of March till end of May in each year. Up to the top 24 ranked swimmers in each age grouping will be invited to the British Summer Championships (from age if 13/14 onwards) ; English swimmers who qualify within the next 20 places in the rankings, in each age grouping, will then be invited to the ASA National Summer Championships (from age of 12/13 onwards).

All swimmers at galas should wear Otters club swim hats and either an "Technical" T-shirts
