The committee of Chalfont Otters Swimming club are delighted to announce the  following appointments:

Head Coach (from September)

Bruce Snodgrass has accepted the post and is very excited about leading the club through new challenges.   Despite his youth he has 18 year's coaching experience in S Africa, the US and the UK including a Olympic Bronze medal winner in 1996. He was a National Swimmer in S Africa and won several medals in the Junior Nationals in 1989 and 1990. Having won a scholarship to the US and with a great swimming career ahead of him, Bruce had to retire due to ill health but transferred his passion to training.

He comes with very high personal and professional endorsements and we look forward to welcoming him warmly in September.

Assistant Head Coach (From 1 June)

No introduction required... our very own Guy Massey has been promoted to this role, following Darren Gurney's departure. The committee were unanimous and enthusiastic in its recommendation that Guy would make an excellent Assistant coach, and he takes on responsibility for the Thames Valley and Milton Keynes Leagues as well as his other coaching duties including Masters.

George Bushell

Thanks again to George for his understanding and invaluable input in helping secure these 2 appointments. George will be leaving Buckinghamshire for Oxfordshire at the end of July and his last session will be 29th July. We will have the opportunity to say thank you and good luck properly at the BBQ.
